Earlier this year, we were very lucky to get the opportunity to speak to one of the power couples in the activewear industry, Anjhe Mules and Jason Marcus, Founder and Co-CEO of Jason Marcus for the ‘Incredible Two’ series, about career, work-life culture and health (It was so inspiring, by the way). Jason is not only in charge of all the operation in office, but according to his wife, he also has the part-time job of cooking delicious food for their family of four, which he excels in. He has successfully mastered plenty of delicious recipes, not to mention that everything he cooks is gluten free and dairy free. He shared with us one of his 15 minutes go-to recipe that is perfectly designed for a post-workout meal, especially when you crave for that energy-boost after an intense intense workout. We are always busy and we end up making excuses for not grabbing something to eat; ‘I don’t have time for that!’ is everyone’s go-to excuse. However, it’s very important to make yourself a real meal that is full of good carbs and protein, which is very useful to prevent muscle loss and cramping. Here’s the recipe what he uses: –
Cooking time: 15 minutes
- Bring almond milk to boil. Add quinoa and oats, and then reduce heat to medium, stirring occasionally. Cook until the milk has been absorbed, which take about 15 minutes. If you are using an electric hob, you may be able to multi-task while waiting.
- Top this with almond butter and maple syrup. Sprinkle it with cinnamon and raisins.
