Q: “After a breakdown of a relationship 3 years, I had to sell my house and move back in with my mother. I’m currently stuck in a rut where I can’t afford to move out and I keep thinking I haven’t achieved anything with my life. What should I do?”


A: “I know it can be easy to fall into a rut after a relationship, but there is a process that can help.

First, you need to work through the emotions you are experiencing without judgement. Do what you need to do to grieve this first, so you can have a clear slate.

Once you feel at peace with the situation, you need to target the beliefs and behaviours that are holding you back. Take a look at each area of your life and notice any limitations that come up. When you find the limitation, find proof of it being inaccurate and debunk this belief. Then, take the opposite of that limiting belief and implement it as your new affirmation. Other affirmations such as, “I am worthy of all that I desire” or “Money flows to me easily and effortlessly” are great options as well. Repeat this new affirmation all day long until you firmly believe it. Also, your external reality is just a mirror of your internal reality, so focus on what you want, not what you don’t want. Embody the most successful version of yourself and cultivate the feelings, beliefs and habits she would have. I believe in you!” – Katie Benford, Manifestation Coach
