We’re on a mission to provide an affordable channel to boost your mental health. So, each week, we’re checking in with our community to see how they’re working on their mental health and their goal towards happiness. We invited toPippa Wallace, Life & Relationship Coachto share us some tips on overcoming jealousy after a break-up.
Q: “I get jealous and unhappy with the success of my ex-boyfriend. I know feeling like this is terrible, but I don’t know how to change myself…”
A: “‘First of all, be kind to yourself as this is totally normal. The more we resist a feeling the longer it takes to pass, let it go without judgement.
Secondly, it’s time to shift your focus onto you. Become more present in your own life. What are your goals? Focus on filling yourself up, do the things you love. The more energy you place on your own development, the less you will place on his.
Thirdly, remove him from social media (or at least hide them!). The last thing you need is reminders of his life, it’s time to focus on YOU which means protecting your mind.
Have faith, it will all work out! Be gentle on yourself through the process.” – Pippa Wallace, Life & relationship coach
