There will always be obstacles that stand in the way of success. The key is how you handle them. Do you get distracted by them from your ultimate goal? Or deterred from seeking your passion?
Today, we’re going to help you nail down your No.1 personal roadblock based on your star sign so you can overcome it and lead the successful life you’ve always dreamed of living.
Aquarius (January 20 – February 18)
Fear of failure
For some, failure is the motivator to keep improving. For you, it could be the biggest obstacle from taking action or that first step necessary for anything to happen.
I want you to ask yourself: Why am I afraid to fail? Is it because I’m worried about how others will judge or criticise me? What’s the worst that could happen?
Then, own the fear. Befriend your fear rather than treating it like your enemy. That’s going to help you clarify how your fear is affecting you.
Finally, just do it. Understand that path to success is going to be full of ups and downs. Instead of seeing failure as an insurmountable roadblock, pat yourself on the back every time you overcome a challenge. Reframe your fear into self-empowerment.
Pisces (February 19 – March 20)
Lack of confidence
You are sensitive and empathic, but sometimes that could hold against you. The reason why you might find yourself struggling with low self-esteem is because you often take things too personally, especially criticism.
Instead of saying “I don’t do it as good as others”, I want you to first get to know yourself. Truly. Be honest about what makes you you. Acknowledge areas you need to improve on.
Then, try not to compete yourself with others. Instead, make your only competitor to be the better, more confident version of yourself. Think about what it takes for you to be that version?
Always remember what you’re capable of doing. Never let someone walk over you and tell you what you can’t do. Most importantly, don’t let that person be yourself.
Aries (March 21 – April 19)
My fellow Aries, you have the energy and enthusiasm to try new things, and you crave for speed and expect to see results right away.
But here’s the thing, success is not all about the outcome. Instead of disregarding the whole process of it and only thinking about big leaps, I want you to treasure the small successes along the way. Oftentimes, they can reveal a lot about yourself and your purpose.
So, don’t let impatience hold you back. You’ve done your part, and now let time do it’s thing.
Taurus (April 20 – May 20)
Unwillingness to change
Everything has a price, and in order to get something, you’re going to need to make some sacrifices.
I know changes are scary for you. And the way things are right now could feel perfect for you. But then how would you know what you have are perfect if you haven’t even tried all the options out there?
You don’t need to sacrifice all your current routines in order to achieve a goal. Rather, figure out your priorities, and try to slowly introduce yourself to small changes at your own pace. But always make sure you’re moving forward.
Gemini (May 21 – June 20)
Lack of vision
You’re very intuitive when it comes to reading other people’s emotions. But is it the same case reading your own?
Sometimes, your people-pleasing personality can prevent you from knowing what you truly want. And lacking a clear vision could be your biggest roadblock because you just don’t know how to begin and what it’d take for you to get to whatever it is that you want.
What you need is a killer goal planning strategy. It’s going to keep you clear-minded of what it is that you’re going for and the steps you need to take. Having a plan can help you bring your amazing visions to life and stay at the top of your game.
Cancer (June 21 – July 22)
Fear of the unknown
You’re cautious when making a decision, especially one that’s going to take up a lot of your time and energy. While your great planning skills can shine in many situations, it could be your personal roadblock.
Because if you’re looking for a perfect plan that’s going to lead you directly to the successful life you’ve dreamed of, I hate to break it to you, but it doesn’t exist.
A plan is meant to give you directions you can follow to achieve something. It doesn’t mean you have to rigidly restrict yourself to doing things a certain way, especially when you encounter unforeseen obstacles.
The path to success is rarely linear, so make a plan, but never be afraid to make changes along the way. Embrace the unknown as a part of your plan.
Leo (July 23 – August 22)
Fear of being challenged
Nothing gives a harder hit to your confidence than being challenged by others. Or, I should say, feeling challenged.
You know what you want, and how you can get it. And you tend to get defensive when your decisions are being questioned, because you take that as a sign of your capability being challenged.
But you should see it as a chance to open yourself up to more possibilities. Recognise when something turns out more challenging than you’ve expected. Keep in mind that it’s okay to ask for help. It could be just the steppingstone you need to get to your destination.
Virgo (August 23 – September 22)
You’re passionate about the things you do. But you’re more passionate about achieving that standard of excellence that you’ve set for yourself. You seek approval from yourself, and oftentimes that approval comes from what you’d perceive as “perfect.” And deep down, it’s making you exhausted.
I want you to ditch that mindset. Because perfectionism doesn’t exist. Shocker, right?
The truth is, despite how many hours you spend on planning something, things are likely not going to turn out the way you expect them to. Because there’re just so many factors out there that we can’t control.
And not achieving a certain goal doesn’t mean you aren’t capable of doing something, but that there’re so many other ways to do it. There’s not a perfect way to do anything.
Libra (September 23 – October 22)
When things start to overwhelm you, your first instinct is to push it down on your to-do list. And what happens is it’s likely going to stay there for a long time.
And I’m here to tell you you’re not a procrastinator. (Nobody is!) You just like to take things at your own pacing, on your own time. And that’s okay.
Instead of making a regular to-do list, I want you to break down all your tasks by each of their complexity level. For example, if a project requires more than a month to complete, break it down into small tasks that can be done weekly.
Set deadlines and stick with these ones as if they’re official. And when the final deadlines do come, you’ve already gotten yourself a head start, and you shouldn’t feel as overwhelmed.
Scorpio (October 23 – November 21)
Difficulty letting go
I know for you, forgetting is much easier than forgiving, which is why I’m not going to tell you to forget but rather learn to let go.
Imagine all the time you’ve wasted on thinking about the past when you could use the time to actually make it happen, simply letting go of things could just be the key to success.
Past rejection, past mistakes, let go of all of these things from the past that no longer serve you now. Stop thinking things as absolute but as relative. If things didn’t work out in the past, let it go. They might work now.
Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21)
Fear of commitment
The sky is your only limit. I’m sure you know about this one better than any other signs. While your biggest fear would be to lose your freedom, it can also be manifested into another fear of yours – commitment.
While you thrive in a constantly changing dynamic, it’s also the exact same reason that you might find yourself struggle with feeling being tied down by commitment.
But, when it comes to achieving any goals, staying committed is one of the most important factors to success. You just need a little more discipline and a determined attitude.
Start by changing the way you think. Instead of feeling trapped by what you have to do, find a more creative approach to doing it while freely expressing yourself.
Capricorn (December 22 – January 19)
Comfort with the status quo
You like things to be in order, and unexpected change is just the nightmare for you. Sometimes when you’re feeling stuck, it could be because things aren’t working for you. And you might not be able to see that because the idea of change is enough to scare you away.
But when you’ve become too comfortable with the status quo, you could be rejecting amazing possibilities that can serve you much better, without even knowing it!
I’m not saying you should do everything at once that makes you uncomfortable. No! It’s quite the opposite. Do what feels comfortable to you but at the same time, try thinking outside of the box.
